When I originally went to the IPSC in Calgary, it was a rather new organization. The whole JPSU idea is fairly new to the military. There were a few teething problems getting off the ground at the start, but I would say in general my experience has been positive. They put me back in a work environment at the museum where they could manage my progress, and at the same time I was doing something I thought was meaningful, staying connected to my regimental family, etc. There was a group of specialists there who could watch my transition, make sure I knew about these programs, make sure I hit my medical appointments, and things like that. It's definitely a beneficial unit to have, definitely.
