When I first moved home I experienced discrimination, for example going shopping and being followed around the store. A part of me wanted to stop the saleslady and tell her I can pay for my stuff. I'm not here to steal anything, and don't treat me like this because you don't even know that I've made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, just for you to have the right to follow me around the store and treat me the way you're treating me.
I can't say stuff like that, but that's what I think in my head. I just can't say it. That's just an example of the kind of discrimination I felt. To see my kids have to deal with that in school and at grade school it's not something I would wish for any parent to deal with. Yes, it's very heartbreaking.
