Mr. Speaker, the bulk of part time and term employees are young people, women, or new workers. These are the ones who will be affected by the minister's reform.
Does the Minister acknowledge that, by requiring 35 hours of work instead of 15 for eligibility for a week of benefits, he is reducing the duration of benefits considerably for part time workers, most of whom are young people or women? Seventy per cent of part time workers are women and 40 per cent are young people.
