Mr. Speaker, we are recommending substituting for the word "genocide" the words "tragedy which claimed some 1.5 million lives". Genocide is a specific term. We do not feel we can use that term at this time. We are mentioning the deaths of 1.5 million people. We are supporting the motion, but we are broadening the scope of it.
