I am informed by Finance Canada and Statistics Canada as follows: (a) Personal expenditure on tobacco products in Nova Scotia was estimated at $372 million in 1997, the latest year for which data are available. This amount includes all applicable taxes.

(b) Information does not exist on the sales total of GST free or zero rated cigarettes and tobacco in Nova Scotia.
