Mr. Speaker, I rise on a point of order. In order to respond to the arguments of the government House leader, who finds that this voting process is costing the taxpayers a great deal of money, I have consulted with the other three opposition parties, and we propose, and request of this House, unanimous consent for the division to be held during the regular sitting hours of the House. We are doing so in response to the demands of the government.
I can state that all opposition parties would be in agreement on this. If we do not obtain unanimous consent, then the party in government will bear the responsibility. People will see how hypocritical they are.
