In the debate of the hon. member for Pickering—Ajax—Uxbridge, the amendment proposed by the hon. member is a subamendment to the amendment. As all hon. members know, a subamendment must relate specifically and directly to the amendment. The amendment was the word “immediate”. Therefore the subamendment as it was presented is not receivable.
