After making record profits in the last quarter, the company decided first to lock out its employees and then to put them out on the street. Some 450 jobs are going to the United States. In December, Electrolux closed its plant in Quebec and 1,300 jobs were lost.
What is the government doing for the laid-off workers, besides giving tax credits to create jobs abroad?
