Mr. Speaker, the reality is the majority of TFSA accounts are held by individuals in the low and middle class. We can sit here and say it benefits the wealthy, but the reality is that 73% of those maxing out their contributions are making less than $80,000 a year, so it is benefiting the middle class.
I do find it quite strange to have someone across the way comment about future debt when his party has been piling on $19 billion, $20 billion, $30 billion of debt this year alone, including $9 billion of irresponsible spending from this so-called middle-class tax cut.
