Mr. Speaker, also, in the last vote, it seemed to me that you had commenced the reading of the question before the point of order was raised by the parliamentary secretary to the government House leader. As has been pointed out by the member for Saanich—Gulf Islands, a member may not enter the chamber during the reading of a question or during a vote as commenced by the reading of the question.
Therefore, I ask you, Mr. Speaker, to examine whether the members for Mississauga—Streetsville, York Centre, Pontiac, Shefford, Dorval—Lachine—LaSalle, Brampton West, Pickering—Uxbridge, and Ajax; and the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism and the Minister of Tourism, Official Languages and La Francophonie had entered the chamber when the question was put.
Furthermore, Mr. Speaker, I ask that in any subsequent vote we ensure that no member, once you have commenced the question, be permitted to enter the chamber and have his or her vote counted.
