Yes, Madam Speaker, I am rising on a point of order.
I have a motion for approval by unanimous consent. I believe you will find such consent for the following motion. Given that the outgoing Liberal treasury board president said yesterday, “There’s much more to the story that needs to be told”, and given that members of all parties believe it is time to bring an end to this marathon voting, and given that all members of all parties believe in shedding light on the SNC-Lavalin corruption scandal, I move that the House call on parties to conclude an agreement allowing for the ethics committee to carry out a full investigation with witnesses who have been involved in the scandal, including the former attorney general, the former treasury board president, the Prime Minister and his senior staff, the finance minister, and any and all other witnesses who might have information about this scandal, and that we conclude this agreement before 8 a.m. so that we can report to Canadians on how the ethics committee will proceed with its investigation.
