Mr. Speaker, I find it very difficult to support the motion, for many different reasons I articulated earlier today.
I am asking the member to recognize, if we are going to be successful at overcoming the housing crisis in Canada, that the national government has been at the table historically with this Prime Minister. We have not seen the dollars, financial resources and commitment brought to this particular issue in generations. We would have to go back 60 years or 70 years.
We have a Prime Minister and a government committed to the housing file, but we also need provincial governments and municipal governments. How important is it that provinces and cities continue to work with the national government to try to resolve this issue?
