It is the first G7 country to cut interest rates not once, not twice, not three times, but four times in a row. This is good news for homeowners who currently have mortgages that need renewal and for first-time homebuyers.
Inflation fell to 1.6% in September, marking nine consecutive months within the Bank of Canada's target range. I count that as good news for Canadians.
