Madam Speaker, I thank the parliamentary secretary for his interpretation of the bill.
The previous speaker, the member for Mississauga EastâCooksville, mentioned that there is ongoing dialogue about the issue of our farmers' not being able to participate fully with their cattle and hogs, their beef and pork. He said that there had not been any concessions in allowing the U.K. to be part of the CPTPP and that there would be ongoing discussions.
Once the ink is dry, is it not too late to make a deal? Should the deal not have been made before signing it?
