Two weeks later, the Prime Minister's company Brookfield secured a $250-million loan from a Beijing state-controlled bank, indebting himself to a hostile regime. Since then, he has refused to come clean and disclose the full extent of his financial interests, including the extent to which he is indebted to Beijing.
Is it any wonder, therefore, that the Prime Minister, who has repeatedly lavished absurd praise on Beijing, was silent this week when Taiwan was excluded from the ICAO assembly and has been silent on Beijing's atrocious human rights record?
