Mr. Speaker, the minister could immediately ask the commissioner to reverse that policy and make the necessary changes immediately so that Tori's killer is behind bars.

Canadians are outraged by this. Tori's family is outraged and sickened by what is going on. We are outraged. The question is why is the Prime Minister not outraged? Why are the Liberals not outraged by this? Why will they not stop making excuses, do the right thing and act on the authority they clearly have?

Mr. Speaker, yesterday the Prime Minister was asked more than a dozen times if he would reverse the decision and put Tori Stafford's killer back behind bars. Today, he was again given the opportunity. Instead, he chose to play word games around the Correctional Service of Canada's security levels in prisons. The fact is that this killer is in a healing lodge, which is not where child killers should be. Tori's family is outraged. Does the Prime Minister not understand what they are going through? Will he stand up and simply commit to do what he has the power to do and reverse this decision?

[Veterans Affairs, September 24th, 2018]

Mr. Speaker, the minister has the ability and the authority to stop payments from going to a convicted murderer who is not a veteran. We are not asking for information; we are asking for action. Why is it that the Liberals are always able to defend the so-called rights of the Chris Garniers, the Omar Khadrs, and the returning ISIS terrorists of this world, but have excuse after excuse for doing nothing for veterans, and doing nothing to defend their ability to get support? When will the Liberals take action—not information, but action?

Mr. Speaker, in 2010 it was discovered that serial killer Clifford Olson was receiving OAS payments. The Conservatives saw how outrageous that was and immediately took steps to stop it.

That same year, Karla Homolka almost got a pardon. Again, the Conservatives saw how outrageous that was and stopped it.

Fast forward to today, we have learned that convicted murder Chris Garnier, who is not a veteran, is getting veterans benefits. What do the Liberals do? They sit on their hands and do absolutely nothing. When will the minister do the right thing and stop these payments?

Mr. Speaker, here is the report card on the Prime Minister's summer activities: reversing the carbon tax, failed; dealing with illegal border crossers, failed; recalling the House to get TPP ratified, failed again; surfing in Tofino, B plus; mansplaining his way through a groping allegation, I would say A plus on that one; negotiating a trade deal with the U.S., under way with challenges, which is Liberal code for “did not get it done”.

Now, let us see if the Prime Minister did any better by the numbers: high-priced lobbyists attending Liberal fundraisers, 200 of them; taxpayer dollars spent on the Trans Mountain pipeline, $4.5 billion; shovels in the ground to build the pipeline, zero.

Seriously, this summer of failure has made one thing very clear: Canadians cannot afford another four years of this Prime Minister.

Mr. Speaker, I rise to present petitions from individuals who are concerned about the international trafficking of human organs.

The petitioners ask us to please move quickly with legislation that will end this horrific practice.

[Government Spending, June 20th, 2018]

Mr. Speaker, with regard to the India trip, I do not recall Prime Minister Harper bringing along on the trip his own personal chef—what was that: $17,000—and, may I add, a terrorist.

Maybe the Prime Minister needs to park the arrogance and swagger for just a split second. We know summer is around the corner. We know what that means. The Prime Minister is going to be taking quite a bit of time off, so perhaps he could at this moment have a bit of humility and tell Canadians he is sorry for abusing their tax dollars and he will not do it again.

Mr. Speaker, it is becoming increasingly clear that the Prime Minister is out of touch with the struggles of everyday Canadians. He is using his job to pay for his celebrity lifestyle.

The Prime Minister thinks he is entitled to his entitlements. He spares no expense when he wants to be pampered and showered with luxury. Who would have guessed that he could use $1.5 million for six days to dance around India? It is unbelievable. When will he stop using taxpayer dollars as his own personal bank account? It is not.

Mr. Speaker, I rise today to table a petition signed by Manitobans who are calling on the government to abandon its attestation requirement for applicants for the Canada summer jobs program.

The petitioners call on the Prime Minister to stand up for Canadians' freedom of belief and freedom of conscience, even if it is a different belief than what the government has, and to reaffirm those rights that Canadians have to believe differently than any government.

Mr. Speaker, with the end of the parliamentary session approaching, can the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons tell us what business the government has for the rest of this week and next week?
