Mr. Speaker, I think that little display of disrespect for that place is ubiquitous in how Conservative members treat this place. It is the very fact that they are trying to distract and make a mockery—
Won her last election, in 2025, with 56% of the vote.

Mr. Speaker, my colleague has stated that those are all false and he did not know this person in question. However, if he wants to talk about fit for leadership, he should be asking his own leader why he has not yet gotten a security clearance. If that is someone who wants to lead the country, they should probably know what risks are facing Canadians.
Canadians are wondering why the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada has not gotten a security clearance.
Ethics November 18th, 2024
Mr. Speaker, as I said, my colleague has addressed those issues that my colleague raises and he has clarified that they are false. We have stated that business was not listed as an indigenous business and it did not receive funding through that program.
Ethics November 18th, 2024
Mr. Speaker, my colleague has addressed this issue and stated that those claims are false. We addressed the fact that the business was never listed as an indigenous business on the procurement site and it in fact received no funding from the Government of Canada.
International Trade November 18th, 2024
Mr. Speaker, on this side of the House, we are asking senators to support Bill C‑282 in its original form because we believe in supply management and our Canadian dairy farmers, poultry farmers and other farmers, to ensure their economic well-being.
We agree with the Bloc Québécois and we are asking the Senate to pass this bill in its original form.
Innovation, Science and Industry November 8th, 2024
Madam Speaker, what the opposition member is saying is absolutely not true.
The government has already tabled all the documents related to what the House asked for, but did so in a way that respects Canadians' Charter rights. The Conservative Party members are the ones who are obstructing their own obstruction in the House.
On our side, we respect democracy, we respect the rights of Canadians and we respect the independence of the police. It is odd to listen to the Conservatives, because nothing they say is true.
The Economy November 8th, 2024
Madam Speaker, we respond to the needs of Canadians. That is why we brought in programs such as the Canada child benefit; we know that Canadian families need extra help right now.
What did the Conservatives do? They said not to send those cheques to Canadians. They said we should cut those programs. When they talk with their crocodile tears for Canadians, they are not actually doing anything to help.
We know Canadians are struggling, and that is why we have responded with programs that actually help them.
Business of the House November 7th, 2024
Mr. Speaker, as my hon. colleague knows, the motion that the Speaker presented actually said to refer this matter to the procedure and House affairs committee. That is exactly what we support.
We look forward to the Conservatives ending their silly games, starting to respect the charter rights of Canadians and the independence of the police, and moving this to committee to make sure that we respect the independence of powers in this country. I will also note that thousands of pages have indeed been tabled. They have just been done so in a way that respects the charter rights of Canadians.
We are looking forward to debating, once the Conservatives stop freezing the work of this place, important legislation, such as Bill C-71, concerning citizenship; Bill C-66 on military justice; Bill C-63, the online harms legislation; and two ways and means motions, one related to capital gains and one that would require more transparency from charities that use deceptive tactics to push women away from making their own reproductive decisions.
On this side of the House, we will continue to work for Canadians and represent their interests. I wish all members would do the same.
As it is Remembrance Week, and we are coming up to Remembrance Day, I would like to take a moment to thank every service member and every veteran who has served our country, both in times of conflict and in times of peace. I know that every member in the House will be taking a moment on Remembrance Day to remember the sacrifices of our veterans and of those who continue to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces.
Lest we forget.
Public Services and Procurement November 7th, 2024
Mr. Speaker, this issue has been dealt with by the Ethics Commissioner, who has cleared the member on three occasions.
When it comes to his former business partner, we agree with the House. He should have been clear and answered those questions, and now he will face the consequences.
Oil and Gas Industry November 7th, 2024
Mr. Speaker, it was 50% higher. What was? It was the amount more of imports of foreign oil into Canada when the Conservatives were in government than when we are.
When it comes to standing up for our industries, whether it is the energy sector, whether it is steel workers or whether it is agricultural workers, there is one party in the House that does that consistently, and it is the Liberal Party of Canada. The Conservatives say to give it all away, and we will not do that. We will always stand up for Canadians, our workers and our economy.
