Air Transportation  Mr. Speaker, as my colleagues know, WestJet makes its own business decisions, but charging extras for customers who book flights over the phone makes absolutely no sense. On this side of the aisle, we are working with the Canadian Transportation Agency to increase transparency of fees to make life more affordable.

Infrastructure  Mr. Speaker, I would remind my NDP colleague that this is a provincial matter. It is a provincial undertaking. The Government of Canada has said that we will always be there for public transit projects. Why? Because that is the way of the future, contrary to the Conservative vision, which involves eliminating public transit projects.

Justice  Mr. Speaker, Canada is a secular country, a secular society. No form of hate speech will be accepted or tolerated. We have always fought against it and that is precisely why we introduced a bill to combat online hate, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia and all forms of discrimination because hate, whether online or in the street, hurts individuals and society.

Justice  Mr. Speaker, no form of hatred will ever be tolerated. Our government will always fight any form of hatred, whether it be discrimination, racism, Islamophobia or anti-Semitism. Religion must not become an excuse for spreading such hatred. That is why the government introduced its bill to address online hate.

Air Transportation  Mr. Speaker, the member for Yukon is not only excellent, he is also right. Investing in our communities means investing in our airports. Northern, remote and indigenous communities must have access to the air services they need and expect. This is why we invested $186 million to upgrade the infrastructure at the Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport.

Air Transportation  Mr. Speaker, Canadians work very hard to save some money to travel to go see their loved ones and to take well-deserved vacations. That is why they deserve good service from the airline companies. The Conservatives did not do anything at all until we came here and put rules in place.

Official Languages  Mr. Speaker, I will say what we on this side of the House stand up for. We stand up for French. We stand up for bilingualism. We stand up for the anglophone minority in Quebec. We stand up for the francophone minority outside Quebec. We stand up for two strong official languages.

Official Languages  Mr. Speaker, we recognize that Quebec is a French province. We have always said that and we have always defended that. We will continue to defend the French fact. If my colleague had bothered to read the official languages action plan, then he would have seen that there is money there for French.

Official Languages  Mr. Speaker, the Bloc Québécois's comments are very hypocritical. First of all, the action plan that we put forward to strengthen the French language was the most ambitious ever. The Bloc Québécois voted against it. In budget 2024, we are investing heavily to create substantive equality between the official languages.

Official Languages  Mr. Speaker, what is nonsense is my colleague's question. He voted against the official languages plan and he voted against the budget, in which we are investing money to defend English and French. Now, I am going to tell him something. Being a separatist does not him person more of a Quebecker than the Liberal members from Quebec, or even the Conservatives from Quebec.

Questions on the Order Paper  Mr. Speaker, the Government of Canada remains confident in the safety of Canada’s aviation system, and we take the audit results seriously. We welcome the opportunity to improve our system and increase our alignment with the International Civil Aviation Organization, ICAO, a United Nations specialized agency, hosted in Canada.

The Budget  Mr. Speaker, I am very surprised that my colleague is worried about the state of federalism. I thank him for his concern for Canada. We too are concerned about Canada. That is why we are introducing important programs for all Canadians. The Bloc Québécois should be ashamed because it campaigned on wanting to work for housing, for seniors, for the environment and for families.
