Forestry Industry  Mr. Speaker, after nine years of interfering in Quebec's jurisdictions, the Liberals are at it again, and as usual, they are targeting forestry workers. We learned that the Minister of Environment, who is from Plateau-Mont-Royal, does not understand what is happening in the regions and that he did not even go to Saguenay to meet people in the industry.

Forestry Industry  Mr. Speaker, it is not for nothing that people are saying that the Minister of Environment needs to step down. Once again, he is going after forestry workers. He is jeopardizing thousands of jobs in Saguenay, even though Quebec has the largest network of protected areas for woodland caribou.

Forestry Industry  Mr. Speaker, how many times has the environment minister come to Saguenay to meet with forestry industry representatives? Once? Twice? No, it is zero times. He cannot even be bothered to leave Montreal. The forestry industry is crucial for us. He does not seem to understand that.

Housing  Mr. Speaker, with moving day two weeks away, Quebeckers are worried. Many of them are looking for a new place to live. In Saguenay, skyrocketing rent costs have families believing they will end up living on the streets. Despite it all, the Bloc Québécois and the Liberals voted against our common-sense bill to build housing.

Public Safety  Mr. Speaker, after nine years under this government, our streets are becoming less and less safe. Crime rates across the country keep rising. Montrealers are increasingly afraid in their own city. It has gotten to the point where the city's police department is completely overwhelmed.

Public Safety  Mr. Speaker, after nine years of this government, there can be no denying that the Prime Minister and the Bloc Québécois are not worth the cost. Violence in our prisons is getting worse and is spreading. An article in Le Quotidien newspaper reports that prison guards in Roberval are threatened and intimidated on a daily basis.

Housing Construction  Mr. Speaker, in the midst of the housing crisis, Quebeckers are literally out on the street. Rents are too expensive, and there is a housing shortage. Again today, in Le Journal de Montréal, we learn that delays in obtaining a building permit have more than doubled in downtown Montreal and the boroughs.

Regional Economic Development  Mr. Speaker, after nine years under the government of this Prime Minister, a growing number of Quebeckers are hungry and living in the street. The inflation crisis hitting Canadians is the result of this government's centralist spending backed 100% by the Bloc Québécois. It makes me laugh a bit because the Bloc claims to defend the interests of Quebeckers, but it voted for $500 billion in inflationary budgetary allocations.

Finance  Mr. Speaker, after nine years of this government, young Quebeckers and young Canadians can no longer make ends meet. The cost of living crisis is making it almost impossible to rent an apartment and buy groceries. Yesterday, a young couple from Quebec had to move back in with their parents because it is impossible for them to save to buy a house while paying their rent.

Industry committee  As you know, Minister, the demand for Canadian aluminum is very high. We are hearing, however, that the aluminum is expensive and that it should cost even more in the future. What will happen if China and other countries, whose costs are much lower than ours, flood our market?

Industry committee  Can you assure us that our SMEs will be able to access the MnAl6 compound? Will our SMEs that handle processing be able to buy it? Since the demand is high, they are often the last to be able to get it.

Industry committee  Minister, you know, however, that primary aluminum production consumes a great deal of energy. Aluminum is now one of the critical minerals. It's critical to our consumption, and it will continue to be critical going forward. For us to produce aluminum using ELYSIS technology here at home, we'll have to use a lot more energy.

Industry committee  In order to make the best possible decisions, how do you keep abreast of the geopolitical situation, in real time, with regard to the aluminum sector?

Industry committee  Thank you, Mr. Chair. Minister, as we know, public investment to deploy ELYSIS technology will benefit large producers. Will they also benefit Canada's small and medium-sized enterprises, or SMEs?
