Conservative Party of Canada  Conservatives will bring home powerful paycheques for Canadians by lowering taxes and clawbacks, to reward hard-working Canadians. Led by the leader of the official opposition, Conservatives will bring home freedom from foreign interference because this Prime Minister will not. Canadians know that our leader and our caucus stand for the common sense of the common people, united for our common home, Canada.

Carbon Pricing  At the rate this government is increasing taxes, including a 41¢-per-litre hike on Canadians' heating, eating and meeting, we might need an even bigger axe to slay all of these back-breaking taxes. Will the Prime Minister, who is out of touch, take his boot off the backs of hard-working Canadians who are out of money and finally axe this failed, ineffective and punitive carbon tax?

Carbon Pricing  While Canadians struggle with affordability, the Liberal government continues to raise taxes, like the carbon tax, which costs Canadians more than they get back. As the PM jet sets across the globe, hard-working Canadians also deserve a chance to enjoy a vacation. Will the Prime Minister end his punishing carbon tax?

Budget Implementation Act, 2023, No. 1  Despite that fact, the proposed budget would only continue down the path of more spending while taking more and more from hard-working Canadians. Returning to the issue of home ownership, the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation has stated that more than three and a half million new homes must be constructed before affordability can be restored.

Government Priorities  Madam Speaker, there they go again, telling Canadians that they have never had it so good. Do they really think that hard-working Canadians are that stupid? We have the highest inflation rate in 40 years. We have the highest interest rates in a generation. We have the most expensive housing on record. That is not an answer.

Budget Implementation Act, 2023, No. 1  We are here to say that now is the time for the everyday people. When we look around our communities and see hard-working Canadians show up every single day and do everything right but fall further behind, we know that the laws that are put against regular Canadians are unfair. They know this. They feel it.

Budget Implementation Act, 2023, No. 1  There are people going from food bank to food bank so that they can get enough food to feed their families. We need to stop this foolishness. We need to start having more money for hard-working Canadians so they can support their families.

Budget Implementation Act, 2023, No. 1  He continues to make false promises to Canadians. These Liberal deficits are hurting hard-working Canadians due to the increase of the cost of living. One in five Canadians is skipping meals. I know my colleague said earlier, when she was asked the question about the food banks by my colleague, that food bank usage is up and 8.2 million people are using food banks.

Budget Implementation Act, 2023, No. 1  This is what the Prime Minister delivers year after year: debt, inflation and more costs on the backs of hard-working Canadians. Last year, the Deputy Prime Minister pledged that the debt-to-GDP ratio would decline and that deficits would be reduced. She said, “This is our fiscal anchor. This is a line we will not cross.

Carbon Pricing  Groceries are taxed, again. While well-connected, rich Liberals keep getting further ahead, hard-working Canadians are falling further behind. I have a simple question: When will the Prime Minister give Canadian families a break and axe his carbon tax plan?

Budget Implementation Act, 2023, No. 1  Rental housing, when it can even be found, is even more unaffordable and often old and inadequate for the families that want to call our community home. The dream of home ownership, once considered a birthright for hard-working Canadians, is becoming for many a seemingly impossible dream. It is part of the larger issue of affordability in many aspects of everyday life. While the data shows that Canada has fared better than most other G7 countries when it comes to inflation, that is little comfort to my constituents, who go to the grocery store and find so much of their paycheque just going to put food on the table.

The Economy  This is just another example of a prime minister who cannot or will not try to understand the realities of hard-working Canadians. When Canadians are choosing between heating and eating, the Prime Minister is choosing between Jamaica and the Bahamas. When will the out-of-touch Prime Minister realize that money does not grow on trees, not that his government is competent enough to plant any?
