Points of Order  Mr. Speaker, I am rising on a point of order. The point of order concerns the report that was just tabled: the fifth report of the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage respecting Bill C-10. I would respectfully submit that several of the amendments contained in that fifth report must be struck out because the committee exceeded its authority.

Committees of the House  Madam Speaker, on a point of order, the rules established for voting via the app were that all members voting by app must be in Canada and could not be abroad. It is my understanding that the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance was in fact outside of Canada at the G7 meetings.

Extension of Sitting Hours in June  Madam Speaker, before I get to what I see as the government's real motives, I would like to speak to why we are here. We have a government that claims it needs extra time. Why does it need extra time? I suggest, to begin with, one of the reasons would be that it prorogued Parliament.

Extension of Sitting Hours in June  Madam Speaker, the impact of the motion is that committees would be cancelled. The important work of this House extends to what is done in those committees as well. By doing this, resources are challenged. As a result, a number of the committees would be cancelled. That is important work as well.

Committees of the House  Madam Speaker, I rise on a point of order. I will remind the House that we have typically had agreement from members to allow these kinds of things. We have done it for their side and they have done it for our side. Earlier today someone asked to do it for a previous vote. We sort of set a precedent that we would not do that.

Committees of the House  Madam Speaker, the hon. member for Lethbridge had asked for unanimous consent, and I know it was denied, but I want to raise some information that I think may cause a reconsideration of that. The member did, in fact, seek to change her vote because she realized she had made an honest mistake.

Privilege  Mr. Speaker, I certainly commend your ruling. It is important that this matter be examined. Obviously, when we have a case of someone literally exposing themselves to the House on two different occasions, that is a pretty serious matter and one that does deserve to be reviewed by the procedure and House affairs committee.

Points of Order  Mr. Speaker, I rise on a point of order. I am following up on an order made by the House last Wednesday as a result of the opposition motion brought forward by the member for Wellington—Halton Hills. Allow me, if you will, to read the relevant sections of the motion: That an order of the House do issue for the unredacted version of all documents produced by the Public Health Agency of Canada in response to the March 31, 2021, and May 10, 2021, orders of the Special Committee on Canada-China Relations, respecting the transfer of Ebola and Henipah viruses to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in March 2019, and the subsequent revocation of security clearances for, and termination of the employment of, Dr.

Points of Order  Madam Speaker, there was an allegation made by the member for Kingston and the Islands that somehow Conservatives were disrespecting public health advice. I think that was what he was trying to imply. I, as the whip for the official opposition, want to assure all members in this House and, in fact, all Canadians that the Conservative Party certainly does take the public health advice incredibly seriously.

COVID-19 Emergency Response  Mr. Speaker, a one-dose summer means a locked down summer for the tourism industry. Canada's closed borders mean that tourism businesses continue to suffer. This industry was the first impacted, and it will be the last to recover, yet there has been radio silence from the federal government.

Tourism Week  Mr. Speaker, this week is Tourism Week. It is a time to celebrate one of Canada's leading industries, tourism. Unfortunately, it is not to celebrate significant milestones like in the past, such as record-breaking visitor numbers or another new award. Instead, we celebrate the spirit this great industry has to survive and persist, despite the great challenges that the pandemic and the lackluster government response have placed upon it.
