Procedure and House Affairs committee You're well on your way to 45 years in your own right—not bad.

Procedure and House Affairs committee Well, I'm not, and neither is my family. All good things come to an end. I have three questions. I'll outline them, and you can answer them as you feel would be best. The first one, in no particular order, is about the slots. You said there were x number of speaking spots, or slots.

Procedure and House Affairs committee Thanks, Chair. I appreciate that. The Chief Electoral Officer has.... There's a technical term and I don't know it. What it means is that his budget is unlimited. Once he gets into running an election, he can access the funding he needs. Would the debates commissioner have the same thing, given the fact that there's an artificial number?

Procedure and House Affairs committee Thank you. The advisory board is obviously key. Are you aware—or is it public—what the criteria are for acceptance, and is it the intention of the commissioner to make public the names of these members as they are appointed?
