Natural Resources  Madam Speaker, Alberta's monthly economic activity index is at its lowest point since the recession. The government has overseen more than $100 billion in cancelled energy projects. Still, the government continues to delay the approval for the Teck frontier mine, which would create 7,000 much-needed jobs.

Public Service of Canada  Mr. Speaker, the government recently fired a public service employee who oversaw anti-racism initiatives for speaking out against the Prime Minister for wearing blackface. She was just doing her job. Now we have received documents that outline “duty of loyalty” training for the Department of Canadian Heritage.

Natural Resources  Mr. Speaker, many people in my riding of Edmonton Mill Woods and right across Alberta are hurting. In fact, the unemployment rate among young men is approaching 20%, something that we have not seen in almost 40 years. We are in this crisis because of Liberal policies like Bill C-69, yet the Liberals have refused to make changes to their no-more-pipelines bill.

Supplementary Estimates (A), 2019-20  Mr. Chair, the government contingencies vote has historically been used for unforeseen expenditures such as natural disasters or emergencies. Over a 10-year period, the current government is the only one using it for grants and contributions. Why are these grants so urgent that they require emergency funds?

Supplementary Estimates (A), 2019-20  Mr. Chair, the question was not about the importance of LNG. Actually, it was about why the funding is circumventing the normal process. In addition to the $99.7 million allocated through the Treasury Board central vote, the Department of Transport is asking for $165 million in additional funding for electrical vehicle subsidies.
