Software Theft  Mr. Speaker, the Canadian Alliance against Software Theft has announced a 3% drop in software theft in Canada, but the figures show that software theft has cost Canada $457 million in sales of business applications and software in 2000. The cost of software theft is high: losses of jobs, wages and tax revenue in Canada.

Could the minister for ACOA tell us what precisely this trade mission will contribute to economic development in Atlantic Canada?

Then he demanded another $200,000 to be leader of his party. Last year he got the lowest popular vote in history.

Canada Labour Code  Mr. Speaker, today's workforce is changing at a very fast rate. Employees and employers require labour laws that are modern and keep pace with these changes. My question is for the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Labour. Could she tell the House what the government is doing to ensure that the Canada Labour Code would continue to protect workers in federal jurisdictions?

Acts Of Bravery  Mr. Speaker, on January 9, three persons in my riding displayed exemplary courage. A group of 11 snowmobilers from the Netherlands and Moncton were on an excursion in Kent County, on the Bouctouche River. At one point, the ice gave way underneath the weight of the snowmobiles.

Speech From The Throne  Mr. Speaker, I thank the hon. member for his comments and his good wishes. The changes to employment insurance that were made a number of years ago had some positive elements, for example, the conversion of weeks to hours as a method of qualifying for benefits. In New Brunswick alone, 87% of the people work more than a 35 hour week.
