Wine Industry  Mr. Speaker, the Government of Canada has undertaken an opportunity to encourage trade at all levels, especially internally. We will be working on this file very closely over the coming mandate. We hope that we will be able to encourage more interprovincial trade.

Resumption of Debate on Address in Reply  Mr. Speaker, I would like to thank the hon. member from Vancouver East for her inaugural speech. I would like her to elaborate on her comments regarding co-operative housing. I began working in the co-operative housing sector 25 years ago, and I found that it was an excellent way to help people have a good quality of life.

Resumption of Debate on Address in Reply  Mr. Speaker, my family and I have had the pleasure of visiting Dauphin—Swan River—Neepawa, the riding of the hon. member opposite. It is a great riding. The people there are kind. However, I must say that I am a little surprised. I had to check my BlackBerry to find out what the date was.

Since her grandparents immigrated to Canada, I would like her to tell us more about immigration and how Canada will welcome refugees. Is it more important for the people of Davenport to welcome Syrian refugees to Canada?

Resumption of debate on Address in Reply  Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague from Saskatoon West for her maiden speech in the House of Commons. It was compassionate and very well done. My question is on one of the issues she mentioned, about trying to improve the care for people who are earning minimum wage by raising the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour.
