Natural Resources  Madam Speaker, the government's throne speech rehashed old Liberal promises without even mentioning oil and gas workers or pipelines. The natural resource sector lost 43,000 jobs in the last quarter alone. Western Canadians have been hard hit by the economic calamity that began under the government long before the pandemic, Bill C-69 and Bill C-48.

Government Programs  Mr. Speaker, business owners and employees in my riding are spending time and money every day juggling hours and changing schedules to accommodate CERB. Employees are forced to choose between working full time, taking a pay cut or continuing part time to keep their CERB. Business owners cannot find enough staff to reopen or even stay open.

COVID-19 Recovery Plan  Mr. Speaker, the government's fiscal snapshot revealed the Liberals are running a deficit of $343 billion this year, and for the first time the net debt will reach more than $1 trillion. I have spoken to constituents across my riding and they are wondering where all that money has gone.

Health  Madam Speaker, I thank my hon. colleague for the information, but that is just not how it is working. It is not working because companies will not apply. They are not going to apply to Canada because of those proposed regulations. That is why the numbers of companies applying has gone down 60%.

Health  Madam Speaker, it is great to be here tonight to speak on a very critical topic. In 2017, Health Canada proposed changes to the Patented Medicine Prices Review Board regulations. These changes introduced new factors to determine whether a medicine is being sold at an excessive price.

Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement Implementation Act  Mr. Speaker, the member brings such depth to his questions and interest in this House. I always appreciate it when the member stands up to address the House. The member talked about transparency, and transparency is the issue. We are dealing with the coronavirus. I am going to go a different way on this, but members will understand why in a second.

Canadian Heritage  Madam Speaker, the new CRTC guidelines in the Yale report that the minister is reviewing are deeply flawed. I have strong concerns about the journalists being licensed and registered. I am also very frustrated about Yale report recommendation number four that would have nine board members live or move to Ottawa for seven years.

Tourism Industry  Madam Speaker, what I would like to do is read a recommendation regarding the CRTC from a report that just came in. It states: We recommend…to reduce the maximum number of Commissioners to a Chair, a Vice-Chair, and up to seven additional Commissioners, each appointed for a single term of up to seven years.

Tourism Industry  Madam Speaker, I appreciate the opportunity to stand in this august place and speak tonight. One of the news items today was about the cancellation of the Teck project in Alberta. This is devastating news in Alberta. It is devastating news for the whole country. This is a big mining company, one of the largest in Canada, which had invested more than $1 billion over 10 years on this project.
