Transport committee  It was the second time, Madam Chair, and I wouldn't say that. I'm asking it in a different way this time. Allow me to ask the questions, please. We only have six minutes here to ask the questions.

Transport committee  Does applying the gender lens that the Prime Minister refers to then affect infrastructure getting built on time?

Transport committee  Under your opening comments, Minister, you state that in the Canada Infrastructure Bank you freed up grant funding. I don't think you necessarily freed it up. I'll give you a chance to rephrase that. There's the $5 billion you took from the investing in Canada plan under public transit systems.

Transport committee  Madam Chair, sorry, just as a bit of housekeeping before we get to the minister's much anticipated comments, I'm hoping he'll address in his opening remarks that he wasn't here for the estimates. I know he's here on his mandate letter today, but I just want to make sure we've flagged the fact that most of the time, ministers come for their supplementary estimates as well.

Transport committee  I just think we could streamline some of these things if a subcommittee—

Transport committee  My second question is in terms of how many meetings we're looking at. I understand that four meetings has somehow been decided. Is that what we're thinking?

Transport committee  Do we suggest this to them? Do we say that video conferencing is an option?

Transport committee  We seem to be flying in a number of people. There's one from Palm Springs for $1,500. There's one from Utopia—which is, I imagine, as I often refer to it, Edmonton Riverbend.

Transport committee  You may refer to it as somewhere else. Did we look into whether there's video conference there? I would imagine there's video conference in a place like Palm Springs.

Transport committee  If I may, Madam Chair, is there a subcommittee to this committee? I'm not privy to it, but it would seem that some of these decisions could be at least streamlined somewhat through a subcommittee meeting prior to coming to this one.

Transport committee  I would encourage a subcommittee meeting, perhaps, to look at some of these things.
