New Democratic Party of Canada  The NDP carbon tax grab would raise the price of everything, including gas, food and electricity, something northern Ontarians and Canadians alike reject. It gets worse. On top of this job-killing carbon tax, the leader of the NDP wants to impose an additional $56 billion in reckless spending. I have heard loud and clear from my constituents in the great Kenora riding. They have asked me and this government to continue to fight against this $20 billion job-killing carbon tax and oppose the $56-billion reckless, unaccounted for, and numberless spending plan.

Leader of the New Democratic Party of Canada  Not only would they raise corporate taxes, payroll taxes, income taxes and the GST, but the leader of the NDP and his party would impose a $20-billion job-killing carbon tax to pay for his $56-billion reckless spending plan. Canadians simply cannot afford to have these risky policies the NDP would impose on the backs of hard-working Canadians. On behalf of Canadians, we demand that the leader of the NDP come clean on the details of his $20-billion job-killing carbon tax and on his $56-billion reckless spending plan.

New Democratic Party of Canada  Unfortunately, while we are focused on jobs and economic growth, the socialist NDP is focused on imposing a $20-billion job-killing carbon tax on Canadian families, which would raise the price of gas, food, electricity and everything else. Such a tax would ruin our economy. The NDP's $20 billion job-killing carbon tax would be devastating for the Canadian economy.

The Economy  In contrast, the NDP leader's job-killing carbon tax would kill Canadian jobs and stall economic growth. Economic action plan 2013 builds on the strong foundation our government laid last year to create jobs, growth and long-term prosperity.

The Economy  However, while we are focused on the economy, the NDP leader is scheming to implement a $20 billion job-killing carbon tax on Canadians. Such a tax would ruin our economy and would raise the price of gas, food, electricity and everything else. Our government will continue to fight the NDP leader's $20 billion job-killing carbon tax.

The Economy  The OECD is projecting Canada to lead the G7 in economic growth over the next 50 years. While the NDP is focused on imposing a job-killing carbon tax that would ruin our economy, our government will continue to work for Canadian families to ensure the long-term prosperity of our country.

Leader of the New Democratic Party of Canada  While the NDP leader travels abroad to talk down Canadian jobs and the Canadian economy, he is busy scheming up a new $20 billion job-killing carbon tax here at home, which would kill jobs and stall economic growth. It would raise prices on everything for Canadians, from gas to groceries to electricity. Canadians know that the NDP's ideological agenda advocating against Canadian jobs abroad and scheming up a new $20 billion job-killing carbon tax here at home would be disastrous for the Canadian economy.

Leader of the New Democratic Party of Canada  During his leadership race, the NDP leader laid it out clearly that he wanted to impose this job-killing carbon tax to generate billions of dollars in new revenues. It is curious. The NDP could have spent the whole weekend on inward-looking policies, but it refused to talk about its billion-dollar job-killing carbon tax.

Employment  Unlike the opposition, we have a low tax plan for Canadians. The NDP continues to push risky spending schemes and a $20 billion job-killing carbon tax. This new tax would kill Canadian jobs and stall the Canadian economy. Canadians can see through the NDP leader's plans and will reject his risky schemes. Our government will stand up against the NDP leader's job-killing carbon tax and for Canadian jobs and economic growth.

The Economy  Speaker, while the NDP is scheming to ruin our economy by implementing a $20-billion job-killing carbon tax for Canadian families, our government is focusing on what matters to Canadians: jobs and economic growth. Thanks to our Conservative government, Canada has the lowest debt burden by far, and we have the strongest job creation record in the G7, with over 900,000 net new jobs since July 2009.

The Economy  Speaker, while the NDP continues to oppose our government's responsible plan to support job creation and economic growth, its only suggestion is to raise taxes. As if imposing a job-killing carbon tax was not enough, just last week, the NDP leader confirmed his intention to impose a multi-billion-dollar tax hike on job creators. What is more, he wants to do this while we continue to cope with the challenging global economy.

Leader of the New Democratic Party of Canada  Yesterday it tried to claim that it was standing up for Canadian taxpayers, but the NDP has a plan to impose a new $20-billion carbon tax on everything. The NDP leader's new job-killing carbon tax will raise the price of gas, groceries and electricity. This new NDP leader's job-killing carbon tax will kill jobs and stall the economy.
