Science and Research committee  Thank you very much for the question. I think government changes in policy, going from black to white and white to black, are a challenge for many people. In the research that I do, which is more focused on political science and social science, there could be a greater overlap with defence, with indigenous communities and with Arctic research.

Carbon Tax  When the PBO was asked how he could be confident in the conclusions, he answered, “The government has economic analysis on the impact of the carbon tax. It confirms the report that we have published.... That's why I'm comfortable with what we have already published”. The carbon tax cover-up is more proof the NDP-Liberal government is not worth the cost.

Carbon Pricing  Canadians do not believe that they are better off because of the carbon tax. They are struggling daily to survive. Why does the government not trust Canadians to make a fair assessment and release the secret report on the true cost of the carbon tax?

Carbon Pricing  When will the Prime Minister come clean with Canadians, stop hiding the real cost of the carbon tax and release his secret report?

Government Operations committee  The same is true for witnesses who come before committee. The witness today swore an oath and it is black and white: He lied. He lied. If it's uncomfortable for members of the other parties, if it's uncomfortable for Liberals.... I know that Mr. Kusmierczyk said that it's because Conservatives want to put words in in Mr.

Carbon Pricing  Liberals do not want Canadians to know what they already know: Canadians are worse off with the carbon tax. A secret government report proves that the carbon tax costs Canadians more than they get back, but the government has forced its budget watchdog to sign a gag order so that he cannot share that information with Canadians.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, Canadians have long known that the carbon tax costs them more than they get back. Who else knows this? The Liberals do. That is because the Parliamentary Budget Officer revealed this week that the Liberals commissioned a report that confirmed what Canadians already know, that the carbon tax costs families more than they get back.

Petitions  Today, I stand and represent the overwhelming majority of Canadians who oppose this costly carbon tax. This petition calls for immediate relief for Canadians and urges the government to take decisive action by halting the tax hikes and eliminating the carbon tax altogether.

Carbon Pricing  When will the minister quit using made-up talking points, remove the gag order on the budget watchdog, release the secret report and end the carbon tax cover-up? Canadians have a right to know.

Carbon Pricing  The Liberals do not want Canadians to see the secret report that proves that Canadians pay more for the carbon tax than they get back. Will the government end the carbon tax cover-up and lift the gag order on the Parliamentary Budget Officer; or are the Liberals just going to tell the PBO and all Canadians, “Boo hoo, get over it”?

Carbon Pricing  If the government will not admit what Canadians already know, then why not let Canadians decide in a carbon tax election? What are the Liberals afraid of?

Carbon Pricing  Those wacko talking points show just how desperate the NDP-Liberals are to cover up the true costs of the carbon tax. Here is what the budget watchdog said: “The government has economic analysis on the impact of the carbon tax itself.... We’ve seen that, staff in my office, but we’ve been told explicitly not to disclose and reference it.”
