Not only are the Liberals going to take more in taxes, but they are going to drive up the cost of groceries when they triple their failed carbon tax.

Seniors  Mr. Speaker, after eight years of this woke Prime Minister's inflationary spending, seniors are going cold, hungry and broke. Seventy-five-year-old Janet from Montreal says that she is completely out of money because Liberal inflation drove up the cost of her groceries, gas and rent.

The Economy  Mr. Speaker, this guy must be great at dodgeball the way he ducks, dodges and deflects questions here. He sounds like a broken record, although not as broken as Canada feels after eight years of his failures. He is completely out of touch. Does he actually think that people are patting him on the back because he has raised the costs of gas, groceries and home heating with his out-of-control spending and his failed carbon tax?

Canadians are watching the hypocrisy of the Liberal government taking more under its failed carbon tax scam while emissions go up because it has missed every climate change target it has set.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, the member actually highlights how effective the slogan is. He repeated it twice, so I thank him for doing that. When it comes to what the Conservatives are proposing, which is to cut the carbon tax, not only would it help Quebec, Quebeckers, Quebec businesses, the people of Quebec and the farmers, but it would help everyone.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, the Conservatives did support the child care motion that was passed in the House just recently. The problem is that the Liberal Party and the NDP ideologies do not match up with everyday Canadians' with respect to choice, freedom and letting people keep more in their pockets so they can make their own choices and thrive in this country.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, if someone wants to send a page over here, I can give the member a report by their own public budget officer that proves that more Canadians do not get money back in their pockets. They actually get more taken out of their pockets. The pain that the member is talking about is caused by her government.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, after eight long years of the current Liberal government's economic mismanagement, Canadians are paying the price. The Liberals' reckless government spending, coupled with their love of taxes, has caused this inflation crisis. Their failed policies have left this country with a 40-year high inflation, interest rates not seen since the 2008 recession, and continually rising taxes that seem to end up in the hands of wealthy Liberal insiders or sent out the door in inflationary spending.

As the Liberals continue to fist bump each other for spending hundreds of billions of dollars of other people's money, the results are absolutely horrific. Housing  Madam Speaker, after eight years of failed Liberal policies driving up inflation, Canadians are faced with high interest rates and higher mortgage payments and are seeing home prices double across the country. An average monthly mortgage under the Liberal government has more than doubled, going from $1,500 to more than $3,000.
