Industry committee  Rogers doesn't want to see any real competition in the market. I think we would have been challenged to get access to those rates, but in their desperation to try to get the merger approved, we don't really know what Rogers would have offered. What they ultimately offered to Videotron needs to be drawn out now in a proceeding with the CRTC, to see if it actually is undue preference and illegal.

Angus Reid polling suggests clearly that eight in 10 Canadians and, in fact, nine in 10 existing Rogers and Shaw customers oppose this merger because it obviously will create less choice and higher prices for Canadians. Public interest advocates, academics and all sorts of parties oppose this merger.
