We look forward to continuing this work and assisting governments, police and justice systems, educators, service providers, and communities to take responsibility for moving forward with action.

Status of Women committee  Thank you very much. Merci beaucoup. I would like to thank everyone for being here today to allow each of the groups to speak on behalf of aboriginal women. I'll begin by sharing a bit of history. In 2004 the Native Women's Association of Canada was funded for the Sisters In Spirit campaign, which was a campaign to raise awareness about missing and murdered aboriginal women and girls in Canada.
