Citizenship and Immigration committee  Thank you, Chair. I also would like to thank the committee for the opportunity. It's a real privilege to be here. My remarks will touch on the changes made in Canada's refugee system by two acts, the Protecting Canada's Immigration System Act and the Balanced Refugee Reform Act, both of which entered into force almost six years ago, in December 2012.
