Status of Women committee  Thank you for this question. I would have loved to have the knowledge that an organization was there for me. It was the late 1990s and early 2000s and the #MeToo movement, which helped a lot in the sensitization of people, was not known at that time. I would have loved to know and to have that education that if you get hit or if a coach says that kind of thing to you, it's not right.

Status of Women committee  Thank you, Madam Chair and members of the committee. I'm a former professional road cyclist. I competed for Canada in the 2000 Olympic Games. I've won multiple world championships and world cups throughout my career. I feel very fortunate to have been invited here today, because all of you have a part in the safeguarding of athletes and are in a position to influence the development of future generations of athletes.
