December 12th, 2006Committee meeting
James Latimer
Industry committee Mr. Chair, this is not like in the House, where there are many written rules and provisions about when the House shall adjourn at a certain time. As you well know, a committee chair technically cannot adjourn on his own, on his own. It takes the agreement of the committee to adjourn.

The Clerk
Industry committee Yes, and Mr. Black mentioned that he's going to get us an existing French one that he submitted to the client.

The Clerk of the Committee

October 24th, 2006Committee meeting
The Clerk of the Committee
Industry committee Right, “no later than March 1, 2007”. Shall I read the entire motion as it would read? Do you all have it in front of you?
October 24th, 2006Committee meeting
The Clerk
Industry committee Honourable members of the committee, I see a quorum. Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), your first order of business is to elect a chair. I'm ready to receive motions to that effect. Yes, Mr. Carrie.
September 26th, 2006Committee meeting
The Clerk of the Committee
Industry committee I take it that's not another motion. The committee has heard the terms of the motion. Is it the pleasure of the committee to adopt the motion? (Motion agreed to)
September 26th, 2006Committee meeting
The Clerk
Industry committee Mr. Carrie has moved that Mr. Rajotte be the chair of the committee. Are there any other motions?
