Canadian Dairy Commission Act  Mr. Speaker, I am flattered. I thank my colleague for his comments. I sincerely hope he has heard the heartfelt pleas I have proudly expressed on behalf of farmers in my region. They are at the end of their collective rope because they are trying to find solutions to the problems I mentioned.

Canadian Dairy Commission Act  Mr. Speaker, I am pleased to speak to Bill C-16. This bill makes sense because milk storage has to align with supply and demand. As everyone knows, there is currently less demand for milk, so it makes sense to increase storage capacity. Quebec's dairy production is integral to its economy.

Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement Implementation Act  Mr. Speaker, I listened carefully to my colleague from Winnipeg North. He reiterated his support for protecting supply management a number of times. He also mentioned that nothing was perfect. The Bloc Québécois is giving him the chance to redeem himself. On February 24, my colleague from Bécancour—Nicolet—Saurel introduced Bill C-216 to amend the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Act to prevent more breaches in supply management.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague across the way for the question. The Liberal Party has run up huge deficits over the past few years. Instead of giving money to the banks and finding solutions to stimulate the economy, we need to go back to the drawing board. With today's motion, we wish to truly get answers to our questions.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague for her question. Clearly, we have repeatedly criticized the government's lack of leadership. We know that it wanted to blame Quebec and the different provinces at the beginning of the crisis. We definitely presented concrete measures and solutions to resolve the serious problem of rail blockades.

Business of Supply  ÔMadam Speaker, I have the honour to rise today to speak to the motion moved by my Conservative Party colleagues as part of the business of supply. We know that the agenda of the House could be affected by the result of the vote that will be held this evening on whether to adopt the motion that our Conservative colleagues moved in the House on Friday, February 28.

2022 Quebec Games  Mr. Speaker, the countdown has begun. In less than 888 days, the City of Rimouski will be hosting the finals of the 2022 Quebec Games. From July 29 to August 6, 2022, over 3,000 athletes from across Quebec will converge on our riding. They will be competing for the highest honour that a Quebec athlete can receive in any sport.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague for his question. Enough time has passed. More than seven bills have been introduced in the past. That is completely unacceptable. Why pass this off to a committee? Several avenues have already been explored. We have repeated many times today why we want to pick up the pace and why 26 weeks is wholly inadequate.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague for his question. I certainly agree with a lot of what he said about the problem we are speaking out about today. A healthy society can help the economy flourish. This can always help employees and employers. The government holds the purse strings, even though the fund belongs to workers, as we have heard.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I am honoured and pleased to speak to the motion moved by the leader of the Bloc Québécois, which is now before the House under business of supply. This motion is as clear as can be and deserves the unanimous support of all parties in the House. The government should be guided by logic and compassion on this matter, and it should set aside partisan imperatives that detract from this extremely important issue.

Institut maritime du Québec  Mr. Speaker, I would like to pay tribute to the Institut maritime du Québec in Rimouski, which celebrated its 75th anniversary by hosting a dinner that I had the privilege of attending. The Institut maritime du Québec is the largest francophone marine training institute in Canada.

Resumption of debate on Address in Reply  Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague from Mégantic—L'Érable for his question. He can count on my full co-operation on developing our regions and ensuring that the government understands the realities these regions face and that it invests the money they need to fully develop. The regions have specific pressing needs, in particular with respect to cell coverage, and these needs are completely different from those of major centres.

Resumption of debate on Address in Reply  Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague for her question. The labour shortage is something that concerns me greatly. The regions of Quebec are in dire need of workers, especially in my riding, in the Lower St. Lawrence. The Bloc Québécois proposed concrete measures during the election campaign.

Resumption of debate on Address in Reply  Mr. Speaker, I would first like to thank my colleague opposite for his question. With regard to health, of course, no one would oppose a greater contribution from the government to promote Canadians' access to health care. In our comments in the House this week, particularly in question period, we mentioned that the Premier of Quebec and all the provincial premiers are calling on the government to increase health transfers to the provinces by 5.2%, so that is something that we are following very closely.

I would also like to acknowledge the hard work of my team, who made this whole adventure possible.
