Telecommunications  Mr. Speaker, I was reminded, when we made this great announcement, that I think they were saying it was a waste. I can say that competent countries invest in their workers and their industries. We are going to invest in Canada despite the fact that they do not support the cause.

Official Languages  Mr. Speaker, I would like to tell the House and members that this is completely unacceptable. Indeed, Canadians rightly deserve to be able to get a response in French or in English, in both official languages of this country, from their telecom provider, particularly when they call 911.

Telecommunications  Mr. Speaker, I thank the member for giving me the opportunity to talk about a home run for Canada. Just last week, we got the single largest investment in Canada's auto history of $7 billion. This is the first car manufacturer we have attracted to Canada in 35 years, and unlike the Conservatives, and what they did to the community of St.

Telecommunications  Mr. Speaker, we will take no lessons from the Conservatives. They do not even ask me about Volkswagen; however, the Conservatives are the ones who let the auto sector down in 2011. They let the good people of St. Thomas and southwestern Ontario down. They let 8,000 workers down in 2011 in St.

Telecommunications  Mr. Speaker, I think my colleague is somehow missing the point. It is Canadians who are winning. I so wish, for those watching at home, that the Conservatives would listen to people. Canadians have asked us to do one thing, to bring prices down in telcos. The way to do that in Canada is through more competition with a fourth national player.

Telecommunications  Mr. Speaker, Canadians who are watching at home know the Conservatives. They know that they are good at bringing up all these conspiracy theories. We have heard an hour of them today. However, one thing they know is that they can trust the government to have their back. That is exactly what we have done.

Automotive Industry  Mr. Speaker, this is a home run for Canada. We have attracted a $7-billion investment. This is a home run for the community of St. Thomas in southwestern Ontario. This is a home run for auto workers in Canada. This is a home run for the auto sector. Unlike the Conservatives did in 2011, we will not let the sector go down.

Telecommunications  Mr. Speaker, the one important issue for Canadians is to bring costs down. That is what we did in the last iteration that he is talking about. The way to bring costs down in Canada is to have more competition. The way to have more competition is to have a fourth national player.

Telecommunications  Mr. Speaker, let me provide a bit of background for the member. Actually, we denied the transfer of licence from Shaw to Rogers. This government stood up to big telco. We put 21 conditions in place. This has never been done in Canada's history. Does anyone know why? It is because Canadians have asked us to bring prices down.

Aviation Industry  Mr. Speaker, on this side of the House, we will never back down. We will always push to defend Quebec's aerospace industry. I think my colleagues are clear on that. As I was saying to my colleague, we are in touch with the aerospace industry, we are in touch with Bombardier. My colleague left out part of the story.

Ethics  Mr. Speaker, what Canadians watching today are most concerned about is seeing the Conservative Party obsessed with issues that do not concern Canadians. Canadians are concerned about three things. The Conservatives would do well to listen to Canadians a little more. The first thing is the cost of living and the cost of food.

Aviation Industry  Mr. Speaker, I want to thank my colleague for his question. On this side of the House, we all recognize the importance of the aerospace industry across the country, particularly in Quebec. I have been in contact with Bombardier executives, and everyone in the House agrees that Bombardier is a leading Canadian company that we can all be proud of.

Government Priorities  Mr. Speaker, I am very pleased to respond to my colleague. The kind of competence we have on this side of the House is that we listen to Canadians. That is exactly what we did in the last budget, something Conservatives do not like to talk about. What did they say? To help them with groceries.

Committees of the House  Mr. Speaker, I want to thank my colleague for tabling the report and for his comments this morning. I noticed that my colleague's comments left out part of the story. Just a few months ago, our government made the biggest announcement in Canadian history for Quebec's aerospace sector.

Questions on the Order Paper  Mr. Speaker, with regard to part (a), there are 28 organizations that applied to be a 50-30 Challenge Ecosystem Partner.
