Ethics  Speaker, a lot of questions were being asked in 2016, questions that were being put to me in the House, about the Trudeau Foundation. That is why my office asked for answers to various questions, so that we could understand exactly what bearing they had on the foundation. As I have said, I have had no direct or indirect involvement with the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation for 10 years.

Ethics  We are simply asking him to do what every other Canadian would normally do: The average Canadian pays for their own camping trip and pays for their own family vacation. He gets his vacations funded by Trudeau Foundation donors. We are not asking for him to pay for the security or even for the private jet. We are simply asking for him to pay back the $80,000 gift he got from his wealthy friends in Bermuda, who are donors to the Trudeau Foundation.

Ethics  If not, he is not doing his job. Why does he not tell us how much the Green family donated to the Trudeau Foundation before he joined them on vacation?

Ethics  The opposition will have to accept that. I am telling the truth. I have not had any involvement with the Trudeau Foundation for a decade.

Ethics  Does the Prime Minister really expect us to believe he has never discussed the Trudeau Foundation with his brother since that donation?

Ethics  Speaker, the Prime Minister all but confirmed yesterday that he was gifted 80,000 dollars' worth of free accommodations at the villa of a Trudeau Foundation donor. That is what anyone else would have had to pay to stay there over that nine-day vacation. He now has a big IOU to those Trudeau Foundation donors, who will obviously be expecting something in return for it.

Democratic Institutions  Speaker, it has been made clear, first of all, that the Prime Minister is not an active member at all of the Trudeau Foundation. He has been independent from that for more than 10 years. I do not know how much time the member spends on subreddits and 4chan, but instead he should spend some time looking at facts.

Democratic Institutions  When will he finally admit that he is being influenced as Prime Minister because of his proximity to the Trudeau Foundation?

Democratic Institutions  Speaker, we are not about to be lectured on independence. The connection between the Liberals and the Trudeau Foundation is so obvious that even its alumni are now embarrassed to be associated with it. It is obvious, given that we know that the foundation was invited to a meeting at the Prime Minister's building.

Ethics  Speaker, as I have repeated many times in and out of this House, I have had no engagement, direct or indirect, with the Trudeau Foundation for about 10 years now.

Ethics  As the member opposite knows, I have had no direct or indirect involvement with the Trudeau Foundation for 10 years.

Ethics  I am not taking issue with the Prime Minister's father because the Prime Minister's father did not receive five deputy ministers and the Trudeau Foundation in his office and then claimed he did not know what was going on. Now that the Prime Minister knows that this occurred, should he not, at the very least, tell us what happened in that office at that meeting, since he hardly called five deputy ministers into his own office for no reason?

Democratic Institutions  Mr. Speaker, the embarrassing proximity between the Trudeau Foundation and the communist government of Beijing affects all Canadians. That is why we have an obligation, here in Parliament, to get to the bottom of things. Yesterday, in parliamentary committee, the Liberals, with the complicity of the NDP, decided not to hold meetings to hear from the directors of the Trudeau Foundation.

Democratic Institutions  Speaker, I just want to say that there are opportunities to talk about any number of issues, and I am happy to talk again about the Trudeau Foundation. As the Prime Minister has made clear, he has not had involvement with the Trudeau Foundation over the last 10 years. What I find disturbing is this: Whether it is with respect to the CBC, which Conservatives are now attacking as a partisan organization, or a myriad of different organizations, their partisan attacks seem to have no bounds because their interest is in fact partisan.

Democratic Institutions  Mr. Speaker, as the Prime Minister clearly explained, he has not had any ties to the Trudeau Foundation for almost 10 years. This issue is not the Prime Minister's responsibility because he does not have any ties to the foundation. Unfortunately, there are many situations where the party opposite has attacked the Trudeau Foundation, the media, the CBC, pretty much any person and any type of organization.
