Resumption of Debate on Address in Reply  Mr. Speaker, I congratulate you on your appointment to your new role. I thank the hon. member for his speech. Our parties share a concern about the need to balance the budget. The Parliamentary Budget Officer's numbers and those of the C.D. Howe Institute suggest that the government's numbers do not add up and will in fact give us a permanent structural deficit.
