Privacy  Mr. Speaker, we have put in place a number of relationships with suppliers, domestic and international, to make sure Canada has the personal protective equipment it needs. In addition, we are working with the domestic industry to make sure we have contact tracing and other assistance ready to ensure we are protecting Canadians and to make sure we will be able to identify the virus as it spreads.

National Capital Commission  Mr. Speaker, I would like to thank the member for Kanata—Carleton for her continued hard work. I recently met with the mayor, Jim Watson, about the needs of the city and how we can work collaboratively to build up the city and the region. The parliamentary precinct's renovations alone have rendered three billion dollars' worth of investment into the region.

Public Services and Procurement  Mr. Speaker, as part of its routine management of federal real property, Public Services and Procurement Canada led an initiative to identify ministerial offices across government in need of refurbishment. This initiative addressed spaces that required modest, cost-effective repairs during the 2019 recess period and general election.

This will not affect the timeline for contract award and delivery. Our objective remains clear, and that is getting the best plane for the RCAF at the right price, with the most economic benefit for Canadians.

We recognize that pay issues are stressful and create hardships for employees and their families, and we are committed to fixing this. Over the past two years, we have reduced the backlog by 39%. During the same period, the number of pending transactions with financial implications was reduced by 50%.

We are taking action by implementing a simplified contract model to remove barriers to participation and by improving existing procurement tools, and we will continue to work with the members opposite to further this initiative.

Canada Post  Mr. Speaker, we have taken immediate actions to support our new service first vision, including terminating the community mailbox conversion program, enhancing the accessible delivery program, reinvesting profits in Canada Post services and innovations instead of paying them as a dividend to the federal government, promoting Canada Post remittance services and renewing Canada Post's leadership.
