However, this bill is an infringement on freedom of expression and freedom of speech, so I am standing up.

Government Business No. 10—Broadcasting Act  Madam Speaker, my apologies. Thank you for your gracious correction. I would not want the government to tell me, a government that has been involved in so many terrible wrongs, which have recently been in the news, and Canadians what we can and cannot see. That is something that happens in the Soviet Union.

Government Business No. 10—Broadcasting Act  Madam Speaker, I have a five-year-old and a seven-year-old. I am in politics because I want a better future for them, and that better future comes from freedom.

Government Business No. 10—Broadcasting Act  Madam Speaker, that gives me a great opportunity to explain to the minister that he can check out Michael Geist's website if he has not figured this out already. The offending sections are 9(1), 10(1) and the removal of section 4.1, which was originally put in there to protect social media and was taken out.

I must say, without commenting on who is or is not in the House, that the government benches have not looked this good in years. Fight Against Tax Evasion  Madam Speaker, it is an honour to rise today to speak to this important issue and to this motion. This is part of a larger discussion that needs to happen, and I am very pleased to be talking about it today. I would like to begin by quoting the great Jim Flaherty when he talked about the 2007 budget and had just recently announced an anti-tax-haven initiative.

Questions on the Order Paper  With regard to the government's advance-purchase agreements for COVID-19 vaccines, signed with COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers, and broken down by agreement: (a) what is the date on which each agreement was signed with (i) Pfizer Biotech, (ii) AstraZeneca, (iii) Sanofi and GlaxoSmithKline, (iv) Covavax, (v) Medicago, (vi) Verity Pharmaceuticals Inc. & Serum Institute of India, (vii) Moderna, (viii) Johnson & Johnson; (b) did the government secure (i) an upfront guarantee on pricing, (ii) distribution via funding, (iii) purchasing contracts; (c) what was the coming into force date; and (d) what is the agreement's end date?

Broadcasting Act  Madam Speaker, I wanted to raise a point on behalf of the Green Party. Oftentimes they do not get the opportunity to speak. They have been polite and quiet while waiting. They have been up there. I could see on my screen that they were among the first. They are always some of the most respectful party members from one of the most passionate parties.

Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act  Madam Speaker, I also thank the member for his great service to the agriculture committee. He is another great advocate for it. I am from the country. I liken this to an individual who owns an old pickup truck and knows they could save money if they bought a more fuel-efficient car.
