Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act  Mr. Speaker, I am pleased to join the debate on Bill C-3, an act to amend the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act and the Canada Border Services Agency Act. The legislation before us would rename the Civilian Review and Complaints Commission for the RCMP to the public complaints and review commission which, as an oversight committee, would also have responsibility to review civilian complaints against the Canada Border Services Agency.

Public Safety  Madam Speaker, yesterday the Minister of Public Safety misled the House when he said the Conservatives would do nothing about gun violence. That is not true. We would tackle the real issues. It is gang members who are committing gun violence, not the law-abiding citizens in my riding who go to the Langley Rod and Gun Club and the Langley shooting range.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I will take this opportunity to thank the Liberal government for that investment. It was very much appreciated, and I will give credit where credit is due. Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I rise to speak in favour of the motion. In 2015 the Liberal Party ran on a platform of increasing infrastructure spending, and together with that there was going to be a series of small to medium-sized deficits. The objective was to implement infrastructure spending and projects that would improve efficiency and economic productivity and ultimately strengthen Canada's economy and create well-paying jobs.

Natural Resources  Mr. Speaker, Article 6 of the Paris Agreement would create a mechanism whereby countries like Canada could accelerate development of natural resources like liquid natural gas that we are talking about, yet at the recent conference in Madrid, no headway was made. Could the hon. member opposite give us any assurance at all that Article 6 will finally be implemented or that the government is working on bilateral agreements with countries that would be recipients of our clean, green and ethical liquid natural gas?

Natural Resources  Mr. Speaker, my home province of British Columbia is in a unique position to make a significant contribution to the fight against global climate change by developing its liquid natural gas industry. The objective, of course, would be for clean, green, environmentally responsible and ethical Canadian energy to replace much dirtier coal that is being burned and used by much of the developing world.

Natural Resources  Mr. Speaker, my home province of B.C. can contribute in a very significant way to the fight against global climate change by providing clean LNG to Canada and the rest of the world, yet this industry is suffering under excessive restrictions and investors are losing confidence.
