Petitions  The first one calls on the government to listen to Canadians and to abandon its recently implemented job-killing carbon tax.

Global Warming  It is time for us to cease this never-ending cycle of criticism about some phantom job-killing carbon tax on everything. It is the rhetoric of the previous government, the Harper government, which is being resurrected presently. It is so unfortunate, because the average Canadian knows that a price on carbon is not going to kill jobs.

Carbon Pricing  Therefore, why are they now blocking businesses from being able to talk about this job-killing carbon tax?

Business of Supply  Our corporate tax rate does not make Canada a competitive jurisdiction, and on top of that the Liberals have implemented a job-killing carbon tax that will make Canada even less competitive. The carbon tax not only ensures that companies have to pay more to the government rather than invest in growth, but also adds to the environment of uncertainty created by the Liberals.

Business of Supply  Mr. Speaker, at a time when the government is proposing a job-killing carbon tax that will raise the price of everything, including groceries, I am very mindful of the working poor who are trying to get by. They are reading this morning that there will be a 3.5% increase in the cost of groceries, groceries that feed their families.

Canada's Oil and Gas Sector  Now we have the member for Edmonton Centre, the same one who stood in the House and voted with the government to kill northern gateway; the same one who voted for a job-killing carbon tax; the same one who voted to end tankers off the B.C. coast, effectively stopping a future northern gateway; and the same one who is with a government that has appointed radical anti-Alberta activists to senior advisory roles in the ministry of natural resources.

Canada's Oil and Gas Sector  The Liberals are layering on red tape and added costs at the very worst time, destroying confidence in Canada for investment. The Liberals' job-killing carbon tax is already costing Canadian jobs and driving Canadian companies into the United States. Imagine this. Canada is the only one of the world's top 10 oil-producing countries to impose a carbon tax on itself, but Canada is the most responsible energy producer in the world, and has been for decades.

Natural Resources  He landlocked Canadian oil, costing provinces billions of dollars. He defends using tax dollars to stop Canadian pipelines. His job killing carbon tax and Bill C-69 will make that discount permanent. When will he withdraw his “no more pipelines” bill, Bill C-69?

Budget Implementation Act, 2018, No. 2  The government's overwhelming tax hikes and new regulations are making it harder and harder to grow and operate local businesses in Canada. This includes the Liberals' job-killing carbon tax that will not reduce emissions and will only punish families and small businesses. The government is increasing CPP and EI, which impacts small businesses. The government is increasing personal income tax rates for entrepreneurs, and changes to the small business tax rate will disqualify thousands of local businesses.

Business of Supply  They are shutting down the coal industry with barely any consideration for the thousands of people, including workers, families and businesses, who will be affected by it. The Liberals are also hurting my constituents with their job-killing carbon tax that is proving less and less effective by the day. After realizing that Canadians, namely those in Saskatchewan, Ontario, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, rejected the tax, the Liberals went back on their word and ended up giving allowances.

Business of Supply  These businesses have been hit. Many businesses have been hit and will be hit with the Liberal job-killing carbon tax, increased CPP and EI premiums, increased personal income tax rates for entrepreneurs, and changes to the small business tax rate that will disqualify thousands of local businesses.

Environment committee  Then, as a government, the Conservatives spent most of their time using the phrase “job-killing carbon tax” every single time that the subject came up. I think it was an extraordinarily negative thing to do to the public discourse: to frame the essential response needed to climate change nationally as a thing that was trying to destroy the economy.

Carbon Pricing  The Prime Minister needs more money to try and cover his out-of-control spending. Canadians will see through him. We will not stop until his job-killing carbon tax is repealed.

Natural Resources  Madam Speaker, what the Liberals fail to mention is that the $40-billion project is exempt from their job-killing carbon tax. Now the Liberals' “no more pipelines” bill, Bill C-69, is a threat to the livelihood of Canadians who depend on the energy sector for employment. New carbon taxes, downstream emissions, regulations and now Bill C-69 will end energy investment in Canada as we know it.

Carbon Pricing  Mr. Speaker, today the Liberals unveiled their job-killing carbon tax scheme. It is an attempt to buy votes, and Canadians are not buying. The Liberal tax grab will make everything more expensive, especially for those families that can afford it the least.
