Aboriginal people's concern about the provincial act is one of the reasons why we signed a tripartite agreement with Quebec. They're afraid their children will be removed, for lack of any other options for keeping them in the community. So the objective of the tripartite approach is to ensure that services are available in the communities and that there are options enabling children to stay in their communities.

I must also tell you that the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador has had a lot of discussions with the Government of Quebec on this matter to determine how we could work taking into consideration the act and so on.
