I was admitted to the Bar in 1990 and have been practising immigration law ever since. Moreover, I am President of the Quebec Immigration Lawyers Association. If you’ve followed the debate surrounding what is known as the backlog, you’ll remember that in 2008, the former Minister of Immigration, Diane Finley, had already reported 900,000 pending applications.
