Opportunity for Workers with Disabilities Act  Mr. Speaker, the burden of the office, the long hours, and my age, I guess, caused a momentary lapse of judgment. My vote should read in support of the motion.

Criminal Code  Madam Speaker, I recall a time, not too long ago, when we were doing some battle with the Liberals on Bill C-51. I would just remind the House what that was in regard to. There was an attempt by the Liberals to take away the protection of places of worship. There was a long list of staggering and frightening changes that the Liberal government was proposing to make.

Justice committee  Thank you for being here. I think this is a disturbing subject for a lot of us. It's something that we just don't realize is taking place. I have three sons who are police officers. I remember when they first started talking about trafficking, I asked them if this was really taking place and they told me, yes, increasingly.

Spring Floods  Mr. Speaker, my riding of Chatham-Kent—Leamington has over 150 kilometres of shoreline. This April, that shoreline was struck by a severe spring storm. The heavy rain and high winds caused widespread flooding and accelerated the pre-existing erosion, putting many of my constituents at severe risk.

Chatham Hope Haven  Mr. Speaker, last week I had the pleasure of attending the grand opening of the Chatham Hope Haven shelter for homeless men. It is not just a safe place to sleep; it is where staff and volunteers are able to help homeless men re-enter society and change lives for the better. After two years of renovations, the doors are open and overnight services are now available to homeless men in Chatham-Kent—Leamington.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I listened with great interest to my colleague's excellent speech. I appreciate his admitting that the former government fell short in many ways. I also would like to elaborate on what the member for Durham was doing. We have made mention of what our shortcomings were.

Natural Resources committee  I have just a few short questions for you, Mr. Boulard. I'm a guest here, so they are being kind to me. I just want some clarification. How hot do you have to heat this sawdust before it turns to liquid?

Petitions  Mr. Speaker, I would like to present a petition that has a long preamble, which I will summarize. The petitioners call upon the House of Commons to permit Christians to robustly exercise their religious beliefs and conscience rights, both in private and public acts, without coercion, restraint, or discrimination by amending section 241 of the Criminal Code and to enact a policy to provide a review of any new legislation that may be brought forth in the future by the government to ensure it does not impinge upon the rights of Canadians in accordance with the historic continuance of the Canadian Bill of Rights and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Salaries Act  Mr. Speaker, I was listening with interest to my colleague's speech earlier, and he spent quite a lot of time on the government's focus on science and getting the facts before moving forward. I wonder if he could stand up before the House, along with his members, and explain how they could vote against the science of doctors, psychiatrists, and all specialists who warned them that allowing minors, anyone under the age of 25, to use marijuana was a dangerous thing to do.

Salaries Act  Madam Speaker, I listened with interest to my colleague's remarks. He mentioned southwestern Ontario, and that is the region of my riding of Chatham-Kent—Leamington. I remember when the Conservatives were in power there were quite a number of announcements in that regard in southwestern Ontario and throughout the country.

Cannabis Act  Mr. Speaker, we must not confuse Bill C-45 with the decriminalization of marijuana, although that is part of this legislation. Conservatives also agree that for minor possession that portion should be struck from the Criminal Code. Educating children and youth from the ages of 11 to 17 is important.
