Commr Michael Duheme
Information & Ethics committee We're investigating the totality, not ArriveCan itself.

Commr Michael Duheme
Information & Ethics committee Mr. Chair, I confirm that there is an investigation, and we're not going to comment because it's ongoing.

Information & Ethics committee I'm not aware of the whole Conflict of Interest Act, so it would be inappropriate for me to comment on whether any changes are needed, or whatnot.

Information & Ethics committee I would not disagree with what you said. However, we don’t know what other information we could have obtained. There may have been a great deal more, or maybe less. We cannot speculate on it.

Commr Michael Duheme
Information & Ethics committee I would assume that, because it's in the act that he's to stop his investigation if there's criminal wrongdoing. I would imagine the person who is the commissioner has an understanding of what's criminal in order to refer it.

Information & Ethics committee We don't normally go out, after an investigation, to say that there are charges or no charges. When the documents are presented in court and are in the public domain, that is when we'll comment.
