Business of Supply  It starts with sums of money of up to $1 million that were given to causes near and dear to the Prime Minister, including a donation of nearly $200,000 to the Trudeau Foundation and a gift of $50,000 to put a statue of Pierre Trudeau up. These transfers were arranged by a billionaire who was described in The Globe and Mail as “a senior official in...[a] network of state promoters around the world.”

Democratic Institutions  They appointed a family friend of the Prime Minister, a board member on the Beijing-funded Trudeau Foundation, to advise the Prime Minister on whether he maybe should, probably, might, could have a public inquiry. We are looking for a public inquiry for Canadians, and we are looking for the Prime Minister's chief of staff to testify at committee.

Democratic Institutions  Speaker, using “Johnston” and “independent” in the same sentence does not work. We are not blaming Mr. Johnston for being a member of the Trudeau foundation.
