World Elder Abuse Awareness Day  Mr. Speaker, June 15 is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. It is an opportunity to speak out about the suffering that some seniors experience. It is a problem that tends to be under-diagnosed. Many people suffer abuse and mistreatment, but they do not even identify their situation and are afraid of reprisals if they report their abusers.

Budget Implementation Act, 2021, No. 1  Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague from Joliette for his speech. He spoke in particular about the Canada emergency wage subsidy, which was used a lot in my riding to help businesses like those in the Granby industrial park get through the crisis. I would like to come back to a somewhat troubling statement made by a Liberal colleague.

Budget Implementation Act, 2021, No. 1  Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague from Barrie—Springwater—Oro-Medonte for his speech, in which he talked about the reckless spending that could lead to uncertainty. I would ask my colleague to think about this. Would it actually not be the lack of predictability for our businesses, particularly in terms of the income stabilization programs, that would lead to this uncertainty?

House debate  I understand, Madam Speaker. The Liberal government continues to deny the facts. When other employees were summoned by the House, the Liberals chose instead to send the Minister of National Defence and said that they would prevent their employees from testifying. Members should recall that the Conservatives had already caught wind of allegations against General Vance.

House debate  Madam Speaker, today I am speaking to Motion No. 58 as the Bloc Québécois critic for the status of women. From the outset I want to state that our party will vote against this motion. Nevertheless, I want to reiterate loud and clear in the House that I am a feminist. It is clear that this motion is completely useless since the government has already asked the Department of National Defence to integrate GBA+ into its policy development.

Solidarity in Shefford  Mr. Speaker, there are some stories of solidarity that truly warm the heart. At the height of vine-pruning season at the new Girouard vineyard, Yoan, who is 14, had a serious skateboarding accident that left him lying on the side of the road with severe head trauma, as well as other injuries.

Income Tax Act  Madam Speaker, I rise today to speak to Bill C-234. Since my colleague from Joliette already announced it in a previous speech, it will come as no surprise when I say that the Bloc Québécois will vote against Bill C-234. We have serious doubts about the effectiveness of such a bill and feel it would only push people to spend more on security systems that would not actually make them safer.

Bills of Exchange Act  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague from Manicouagan for her emotional speech. I know how connected she is to the indigenous communities in her riding. Today's debate is about reconciliation and a day of commemoration. How might this day help us understand that there are still far too many women who are victims of violent crime in indigenous communities?

Budget Implementation Act, 2021, No. 1  Madam Speaker, I thank my hon. colleague from Jonquière for his speech. In his speech, he highlighted the Bloc Québécois's work on two very important files, seniors and health transfers. He also spoke about the green recovery. We both want to represent the interests of Quebec.

Budget Implementation Act, 2021, No. 1  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague for his speech. He talked about a number of things, including help for seniors. At the moment, groups that support seniors are unanimous on this issue, as are members of Parliament. It was in the news again today. How can he justify his party's choice to leave a whole group of seniors out in the cold?

Seniors  Mr. Speaker, people are still angry about the Prime Minister's decision to increase old age pensions for seniors 75 and over. Today, FADOQ, the Canadian Association of Retired Persons and the National Association of Federal Retirees have all three condemned the creation of two classes of seniors.

Seniors  Mr. Speaker, some people have been overlooked. Everyone agrees that pensions need to be increased for all seniors aged 65 and above. FADOQ, the Canadian Association of Retired Persons and the National Association of Federal Retirees are asking for this today. All the parties in the House are demanding it.

United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague for her speech on this important bill, Bill C-15. This is 2021. It is about time that we recognized and complied with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. I hope to see meaningful action, such as the implementation of the recommendations from the final report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague for this morning's debate, which will be very short. As the critic for the status of women, I would have liked to see the government have the same sense of urgency when it came to applying the recommendations of the final report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls as it did this morning for Bill C-15.
