Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I find my colleague's comments pretty weak. Since I do not hide from questions, I will answer his. Members should know that $13 billion were recovered last year. The minister said so during question period. The work that went into recovering that sum was not done last year.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I will try to be brief. Perhaps my colleague did not listen to my speech. I started by saying that we are against white collar criminals. The 338 ridings are all represented by honourable members. I presume this is true because I do not wish to speak for the 338 members.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague for his excellent question. I would love to know the NDP's record, but unfortunately it has never been in power. Of course, when we create wealth and increase revenues, there are more players. Now we have to look at the problem as a whole. We must not be selective and insist on attacking people who create wealth.

Business of Supply  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague from Laurier—Sainte-Marie. I would like her to know that the Conservative Party is all for creating wealth and the possibility of providing social programs. It is a balance that we must work toward achieving. I think that is important. I appreciate the hon. member mentioning that we in the Conservative Party are committed to success and economic prosperity.

Fisheries and Oceans  Mr. Speaker, the arrival of the Asian carp poses a serious threat. Following the Great Lakes and catches in Toronto, it is now in the St. Lawrence River in Quebec. The federal government needs to take action to eliminate this species that is endangering our fish species for the sport fishery and the very popular ice fishery, which are major economic activities for our regions.

Economic Development  Mr. Speaker, the government needs to make job creation and economic development a priority. Canada's National Optics Institute, INO, is a world leader in innovation and has a plan to create jobs in Ontario, Alberta, and Quebec. This is a perfect opportunity for the Liberal government to create jobs.

Rouge National Urban Park Act  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague from Manitoba for his intervention. Indeed, Canada has many very beautiful provincial, municipal, and federal parks. I want to correct him on one thing, though: the bill does not create this park because this park already exists. We need to adopt the necessary measures to continue to protect this park.

Rouge National Urban Park Act  Madam Speaker, I thank my colleague for the question. We do not understand this insistence on including ecological integrity. I am no expert. However, I think that the majority of the people here in the House want to ensure that this park is functional, used, open to the public, and that it protects nature.

Rouge National Urban Park Act  Madam Speaker, I thank my Green Party colleague. Once again, I repeat that I am not an expert. However, I have understood from her question that the member is working with the Liberals. Is the member in the Liberal camp? I do not understand her question. What is the member's position?

Business of Supply  Mr. Speaker, my colleague, the Minister of Canadian Heritage impugned the motives of the Conservative Party. Therefore, I must say to the Liberals that they should take a look in the mirror. They are the ones who are trying to make political hay. As a parliamentarian, I find this to be unacceptable.

Taxation  Mr. Speaker, we must support Canadian workers who get up every morning to support their families. They need to be able to build equity in order to gain a bit of financial freedom. This government is making it impossible for our Canadian families to have more money in their pockets.

Finance  Mr. Speaker, this Liberal government is spending left and right and acting like a business on the verge of bankruptcy. It feels like a profitable company whose successful boss has passed on the torch to new management, which is terrified and spending money recklessly. For a clearer picture, the former boss, Stephen Harper, left the country with a surplus of over $1 million.

Finance  Mr. Speaker, it has been over a year since this government was elected, and already several campaign promises have been broken. The Liberals can pat themselves on the back all they want and pretend that they put more money back in the pockets of nine out of ten families, but the reality is that the middle class and families have less money now that the Liberals are in power.

Festivities in Portneuf—Jacques-Cartier  Mr. Speaker, this year marks the 150th anniversary of Canada, a great big beautiful country built by rural Canadians, among others. In 2017, there will also be celebrations in Portneuf—Jacques-Cartier. The town of Pont-Rouge will be celebrating its 150th anniversary. This summer, we will have the privilege of welcoming the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride.
